Damned because they crept into another pair of arms. <br /><br />We do it all the time, you and I. Fall in love that is. Many of us don’t do anything about it. Some do. They did and have to bear the cross of celebrity. An unnecessary premium on that highly overrated virtue - monogamy.<br /><br />Admit it. These social moorings we give names like marriage and commitment can often be the ropes that we hang ourselves with. Read between the lines of those vows you took. I don’t betray you if I take another lover. I only betray you when I cease being your lover. When I cease caring, providing, protecting – and cooking and cleaning after you, while we are at it. How on earth does one relationship preclude another?<br /><br />I have a problem with the concept of one love. That you can’t love two men or three women at the same time. And do equal justice to each relationship. If you have a big enough heart, you can fit them all in. <br /><br />In fact, says my friend from five floors down, "each love gives me the strength to love the others more. The world is that much more beautiful, I am that much more alive. How can it be wrong?"<br /><br />Look at David Beckam’s roll in the hay with a little more charity. Did we at any time hear the man say it was all over with Victoria? If anything, he seemed to love her more. <br /><br />Leave Saif and his family alone. They''ll mend if the naysayers are kept at bay. And heal and reinvent and love some more.
